On June 10, 1997, the defendant, Roger E. Yoksh, was found guilty of murder in the second degree, pursuant to § 565.020.1, RSMo 1994, following a jury trial in the circuit court of Clay County. On September 4, 1997, the defendant was sentenced to a term of 30 years imprisonment.
