New York Life Insurance Company ("New York Life") and Jimmie Stephens, its agent, are defendants in six actions pending in the Clarke Circuit Court. We granted them permission to appeal in each of the six cases from the denial of their motions for summary judgment. See Rule 5, Ala. R.App. P. Both New York Life and Stephens claim that the trial court erred in denying their motions for summary judgment because, they say, the plaintiffs' claims are precluded...
