This civil rights action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, was originally filed by the plaintiff in the circuit court for Milwaukee County on April 30, 1998. The complaint named the city of Milwaukee, ["the City"], Officer Wawryzmiakowski, and "Other Unnamed Police Officers."
