The appellant, Jerome Bowers, was convicted by a jury in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City of first degree assault, second degree assault, and use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence. Appellant was acquitted of charges of attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, and wearing, carrying or transporting a handgun.
