¶ 1. John Larry Shorter appeals the judgment of the Copiah County Chancery Court ordering him to pay $500 per month as separate maintenance to his wife, Suzanne Ferguson Shorter. Mr. Shorter contends that his wife is not entitled to separate maintenance, and even if she is, the amount awarded is too large. He also alleges error in the denial of his counterclaim for divorce.
