Defendant, Kenneth Van Hee, was indicted on four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12-14(b)(1) (West 1994)). On January 23, 1995, defendant pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault, and the State nol-prossed the remaining counts. The trial court sentenced defendant to 20 years' imprisonment. On February 22, 1995, defendant filed a motion to reconsider sentence...
