¶ 1. Jessie R. Pritchett was convicted of the crime of manslaughter by a Washington County jury. The court sentenced him to serve eighteen years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The court denied Pritchett's motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict or, in the alternative, for a new trial.
