The defendant, Joseph Russell Dubroc, was indicted by a grand jury and convicted of attempted manslaughter and aggravated battery. Thereafter, the trial court sentenced Defendant to twelve years at hard labor for attempted manslaughter, three years at hard labor for aggravated battery, and ordered that the sentences be served consecutively, for a total term of imprisonment of fifteen years.
