Appellant Richard Thomas Ronquist was charged by complaint with, and subsequently convicted of, attempted criminal sexual conduct in the first-degree in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.342, subd. 1(e)(i) (1998) and Minn.Stat. § 609.17 (1998).
