On June 10, 1991, Robert Pickens was employed at Siemens Energy & Automation as a crane operator and received a work-related injury to his left leg when a chain holding a two hundred pound metal tank broke and struck the claimant. On October 8, 1993, claimant filed a "Petition To Controvert" with the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission against Siemens and Zurich-American Insurance Company of Illinois.
