Unhappy with the scope of cross-examination of his client permitted by the trial court the previous day, plaintiff's counsel unilaterally elected not to present his only medical damages expert despite the fact the trial court had specifically scheduled the expert to accommodate the expert's schedule. When the trial court denied his motion for a mistrial, counsel sought a continuance so he could call his expert...
