Pursuant to a partially negotiated agreement, defendant Mark D. Patton pleaded guilty to one count of burglary (720 ILCS 5/19-1 (West 1994)), and another burglary charge was dismissed. He was sentenced to an extended term of 14 years' imprisonment by Circuit Judge Robert Cashen. Defendant filed a motion to reconsider sentence, which was denied.
