Petitioner's son was suspended from school pursuant to N.C.Gen.Stat. § 115C-391(b). The statute provides that a school principal has authority to suspend a student for a period of ten days or less for willful violations of school policies of conduct, as long as the student is given the opportunity to makeup any missed examinations.
