On July 13, 1994 a jury found the defendant guilty as charged of purse snatching. The district court denied his motion for new trial on January 19, 1995. On the same date, the State filed a multiple offender bill charging him as a fourth felony offender. On November 29, 1995, the defendant filed a motion to quash the multiple offender bill.
