The defendant, Grover Pierre Perkins, Jr., appeals his conviction and sentence of five (5) years at hard labor for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A)(1). Mr. Perkins and two other codefendants, Johnathan "Scooby" Taylor and Troy L. Jordan, were charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute.
