PIERRON, J.:

William L. Todd, defendant, appeals his conviction of one count of aggravated battery, K.S.A. 21-3414(a)(1)(C), a level 7 person felony. The victim in this case was Linda Todd, defendant's wife. Defendant argues the trial court erred in admitting the testimony of certain witnesses who testified Linda had told them he had hit her on the head with a pipe. He argues this testimony was inadmissible hearsay.
