Brown was convicted by a jury of distribution of cocaine, in violation of D.C.Code § 33-541(a)(1) (1998 Repl.), and failure to appear in court for a program review hearing on September 13, 1995, in violation of D.C.Code § 23-1327(a) (1996 Repl.).
