WILKINS, C.J.
The defendant was convicted of murder in the first degree on the theories of deliberate premeditation and extreme atrocity or cruelty. He raises two evidentiary issues and one challenge to the judge's instructions to the jury. There was no error. We affirm the conviction. There is no basis for granting the defendant relief under G. L. c. 278, § 33E. The circumstances of the victim's killing provide no basis for the reduction of the verdict.
