Defendant appeals from his convictions of second-degree rape in violation of N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-27.3 (1993) and second-degree sexual offense in violation of N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-27.5 (1993). The State's evidence tended to show that on the evening of 25 December 1994, A.W. was raped by defendant at the residence of A.W.'s mother, Ethel, and sister, Luttrell.
