STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On 15 March 1994, the defendant was charged with one count of insurance fraud, a charge to which he pled not guilty. On 14 June 1995, this charge was amended to theft over $500, and he pled not guilty to the amended charge. Trial was held on 12, 14, and 19 September 1995, at the conclusion of which the jury found him guilty as charged. The court noted it would order a PSI and set a bond for the defendant. The...
