The appellant, Robert Worthy, was found guilty of sexual abuse in the first degree and was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. Evidence at trial tended to show that, in December 1994, the appellant was living with the family of a friend, N.L. The appellant cared for N.L., who had a seizure disorder, during the day, while N.L.'s wife worked. N.L.'s wife testified that she and her husband had a 6-year-old daughter, A.L.
