Defendant appeals his conviction for purse snatching and sentence as a third offender under the multiple offender statute. We affirm.

The defendant was charged with simple robbery, La. R.S. 14:65, and purse snatching, La. R.S. 14:65.1. On July 17, 1996 a jury found him guilty as charged.
