The defendant, David Banks, was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (Count 1) and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (Count 2), in violation of La. R.S. 40:967 A(1) and 966 A(1), respectively. Initially, he pled not guilty.
