On the morning of May 30, 1995, while stopped in traffic, Ms. Nadine Perron was struck from behind in a rear-end collision. At the time of the accident, she was driving an automobile owned by her employer, General Health Systems a/k/a Louisiana Reference Laboratory, and was acting within the course and scope of her employment. On May 29, 1996, Ms. Perron filed suit against both her own uninsured/underinsured motorist carrier (UM), State Farm Mutual Automobile...
