The issues in this certified appeal are: (1) whether the Appellate Court improperly dismissed, for lack of a final judgment, that portion of the defendant's appeal challenging the trial court's refusal to consider certain of the defendant's postjudgment motions; and (2) whether the trial court had the discretion to refuse to consider those motions.
