Nancy Sweeney claims that her superiors in the United States Army discriminated against her on the basis of her sex and retaliated against her for complaining about her treatment. The Army's EEO officer sided with Sweeney on the retaliation issue, but the Army—as it is entitled to do under the law—reversed that decision. Sweeney then filed suit in the district court, which discounted much of her evidence of discrimination because...
