On 29 April 1988 and 23 April 1991, defendants Glenwood Tucker, and wife, Sharlette A. Tucker (the Tuckers), executed certain promissory notes to plaintiff Branch Banking & Trust Company for loaned money and executed deeds of trust on their real estate to secure those notes.
