After the magistrate judge issued his Report and Recommendation with respect to the motions before the court, plaintiff John Doe, individually and on behalf of his minor child, moved for and was granted a voluntary dismissal with prejudice of all claims brought by him. Plaintiff Jane Doe, the parties advise, died in November of 1997. The initial pleadings that were joined in by Jane asserted only a single federal claim...
