CORRIGAN, Chief Judge.

In this condemnation action, plaintiff appeals by right the order denying its motion for mediation sanctions. This case presents an issue of first impression regarding whether the mediation court rule, MCR 2.403, applies to condemnation proceedings. We hold that it does and therefore reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
