Defendant-appellant William J. Blair appeals from his conviction and sentence for attempted rape, following a negotiated guilty plea. Blair contends that the trial court erred by accepting the plea without first determining that he understood the nature of the charge, as required by Crim.R. 11(C)(2)(a). We agree with Blair. Consequently, the judgment of the trial court is reversed, and this cause is remanded...
