A judge of the Superior Court concluded, in enjoining officials of the University of Massachusetts from interfering with the plaintiffs' free speech rights, that although the acts complained of by the plaintiffs abridged their constitutional rights under art. 16 of the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights, no violation of the Massachusetts Civil Rights Act (MCRA) occurred.
