This petition for writ of habeas corpus arises from a divorce suit. Relator, Avi Bart Markowitz, was found in contempt for violating certain temporary orders and sentenced to thirty days in jail and thereafter from "day-to-day" until he purged himself of contempt. Relator contends a seven-day delay between relator's confinement and the court's signature on a written contempt order violated his due process rights. We agree...
