On November 27, 1996, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Rene Andrews, then six months' pregnant, was ejected from the driver's-side window of her white Volkswagen Cabriolet after it collided with a flatbed truck parked on the berm of northbound I-71 just past the Red Bank Road entrance.
