¶ 1 Rule 7(a) of the Uniform Rules of Procedure for Arbitration ("Uniform Rules") limits appeals from compulsory arbitration to parties who have appeared and participated in the arbitration proceedings. Pursuant to that rule, the superior court dismissed Kathleen Whitaker's appeal to the superior court from an arbitration award in favor of Patricia Graf.
