¶ 1. On July 19, 1996, a jury in the First Judicial District of the Circuit Court of Harrison County found the appellant, Kasey Orell Edwards, guilty of the aggravated assault of Dennis A. Devilbiss. The trial court sentenced Edwards to serve a term of ten years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) but suspended six years of the ten-year term.
