Appellants, Laura McMillon and Judith Mitchell, sued appellee, the Texas Department of Insurance, for alleged unlawful employment practices under the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act. See Tex. Lab. Code Ann. §§ 21.051, .055 (West 1996). A jury failed to find the Department unlawfully discriminated or retaliated against either McMillon or Mitchell.
