Appellant, David Heaton, was convicted by open guilty plea, in the career criminal division of the Broward County Circuit Court, of robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary of a structure. Heaton was sentenced as an habitual offender to 20 years imprisonment with a 15-year minimum mandatory term, and filed the present 3.850 motion alleging ineffective assistance of trial counsel for failure to object to the allegedly illegal creation of the career...
