The State petitioned for review of a Court of Appeals decision reversing the Defendant's assault conviction. State v. Tolias, 84 Wn.App. 696, 929 P.2d 1178 (1997). The Court of Appeals held the trial court should have disqualified the entire Yakima County Prosecutor's office from acting in this case because the elected prosecutor, Jeffrey Sullivan, pursued felony charges...
