¶ 1 On February 25, 1996, defendant Scott Michael Abe was charged by information filed in the District Court of the Fourth Judicial District in Mineral County with deliberate homicide in violation of § 45-5-102, MCA. On August 23, 1996, six months after the original information was filed, the court permitted the State to file an amended information which charged Abe with deliberate homicide by accountability.
