After a jury trial, defendant, Terron Thomas, was found guilty of first-degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9-1(a)(1) (West 1992)) and aggravated discharge of a firearm (720 ILCS 5/24-1.2(a)(2) (West 1992)). Defendant was sentenced to 50 years in the Department of Corrections for first-degree murder and 15 years in the Department of Corrections for aggravated discharge of a firearm, with the sentences to run concurrently...
