¶ 1 Shortly before midnight on October 21, 1994, Robert Lee entered Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport carrying a fairly new, hard-sided suitcase. He stopped a few feet in front of the American Trans Air ticket counter and put the bag down.
