JAMESON v. STATE

No. CR 97-1043.

970 S.W.2d 785 (1998)

333 Ark. 128

James JAMESON, Appellant, v. STATE of Arkansas, Appellee.

Supreme Court of Arkansas.

May 7, 1998.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Val P. Price, Jonesboro, for Appellant.

Winston Bryant, Atty. Gen., Sandy Moll, Asst. Atty. Gen., Little Rock, for Appellee.

GLAZE, Justice.

Appellant James Jameson brings this appeal from his convictions of kidnapping, a class Y felony, and rape of a five-year-old victim, E.C. He raises three points for reversal, but we hold none has merit.

Because this court considers review of sufficiency of the evidence arguments prior to a review of trial errors, we first address Jameson's argument that the trial court erred in denying his motion for directed verdict on the rape charge.
