Leevel Holmes was charged in a two-count bill of information with molestation of a juvenile, a violation of La. R.S. 14:81.2, and carnal knowledge of a juvenile, a violation of La. R.S. 14:80. Following a jury trial, on 26 January 1995, he was found not guilty on the carnal knowledge count, and found guilty as to the molestation count to the lesser offense of attempted indecent behavior with a juvenile.
