HUNT, Justice.

¶ 1 Gerald and D.J. Heffner (Appellants), father and son, were charged with threats and other improper influence in official and political matters, a felony, in violation of § 45-7-102(1)(b), MCA. Appellants were tried simultaneously in the Twentieth Judicial District Court, Lake County. A jury found each Appellant guilty and judgments of conviction were entered.
