A jury found the appellee guilty of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine. His conviction was affirmed on direct appeal in Hanania v. State, 640 So.2d 1116 (Fla. 2d DCA 1994). He subsequently filed a motion for postconviction relief alleging, inter alia, ineffective assistance of trial counsel. After an evidentiary hearing, the trial court granted a new trial, finding that trial counsel's failure to interview certain witnesses...
