SCHNEIDER, Chief Justice.

Gemdrill International, Inc. ("Gemdrill") sued Sidney L. Harrison for breach of contract and for tortious interference with a contract. Harrison filed a counterclaim for breach of contract for lost wages. Gemdrill asserted the affirmative defenses of res judicata, collateral estoppel, election of remedies, and offset.
