The defendants were indicted jointly for first-degree murder by aggravated child abuse. After a joint trial, the jury convicted Cynthia Roberson ("CR") of aggravated assault; it convicted Rhodney Roberson ("RR") of the indicted offense. After a hearing, CR was sentenced as a standard Range I offender to six years incarceration;
