BRIGHAM, Justice.

Benjamin Franklin Floyd appeals his conviction by a jury of the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The jury assessed punishment at life imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, and a fine of $10,000. In seven points, appellant complains of the factual sufficiency of the evidence, asserts that he was denied a speedy trial, and challenges both the competency of the child victim...
