Appellant Gregory Cook (Cook) was charged with three counts of sexual assault for the alleged rape of his former domestic partner. At the conclusion of his first trial, a jury acquitted Cook of the first two counts of sexual assault, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict with respect to the third count.
