Defendant, Jermaine D. Taylor, was charged by bill of information with attempted second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1.2 He pled not guilty. The jury returned a responsive verdict of guilty of attempted manslaughter, a violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:31. The trial court sentenced defendant to five years imprisonment at hard labor. Defendant has appealed, arguing as his sole assignment of error...
